New Videos: Tunisian Crochet Entrelac

As you may know, my crochet-along group on Yahoo here has chosen the Tunisian Crochet Entrelac Throw from Lion Brand here as the crochet-along pattern for November 2013. The pattern itself is available here.

I was unable to get the videos up when I would have liked. But, they are finally posted. Here are the right-handed videos. Please check my channel here for the left-handed videos.

Thank you so much for the videos! I’ve looked for Tunisian Entrelac for the longest time…even resorted to purchasing instructions for knitted entrelac. Now, I can try the Tunisian version. Thank you for your time that you devote to the Tunisian community. You are a great inspiration.

Thank you for this lovely video. So gentle and calm. Great instructions. I was looking for something delicate to do a rug for my daughter in alpaca and this is definitely it. I’ve only just learned to crochet Granny squares and this looks easy yet interesting. Thanks again Kim.

Thank you for your easy to follow instructions! I’ve always wanted to learn Tunisian crochet and have been intimidated by the stitch, but your video made it easy to follow. Thank you!

I have always wanted to learn Tunisian crochet, but could never understand the patterns! Thanks for these videos! I think I’ll start this tonight 🙂

  • Carol

    Where. Is pattern?

  • Patricia

I love doing Tunisian crochet. I learned a couple of years ago how to do the enterlac and fell in love with it. I didn’t like the knitted version. I kept getting lost in the pattern. Thanks for the videos.

  • Karen

Thanks for these lovely videos, made learning the process very easy. I have been knitting Entrelac for a while, but crochet is sooo much easier and faster!

  • Cora Landry

Could you please tell me where I can find a pattern for an Entrelac scarf?

    • crochetkim

I don’t have a pattern for an entrelac scarf, but you can follow the pattern and the videos to make a scarf very easily. To make it horizontally, I chained 34 to begin. Or you can make it lengthwise. The videos will show you how to do this method of Tunisian entrelac and you can change the stitch count as you desire.

Love tunisian. Your comment at end of first row of squares got me thinking. If you turn work over and work in reverse stitches for the second row of squares, you may find you will get the texture of the stitches showing more of a basketweave effect without relying on the different colours of yarn. I am going to try.
Keep up the inspirational videos as they are much clearer than written instructions of many of the designers.

Kim I am having trouble making my entralac crochet blanket starting with 3 squares,I had somebody tell me I wasn’t turning when i should and I don’t understand what she is talking about. I was wondering if you have a video that I can watch to learn how to do this> please help 🙂

I have watched many crochet tutorials on youtube and decided YOUR are my favorite!
Your pace is perfect for me and your voice is soothing, the picture is close enough I can actually see where my stitches have to go using my cell instead of having to watch on my bif computer monitor.
    Thank you.
