Errata: Tunisian Cables to Crochet

The good news is that people are literally making projects from my new book within hours of the book being available. Yay!

The bad news is that I’ve got errata to report. Boo!

The good news is that you can still complete the project without the errata. Yay!

The bad news is that you get a honeycomb cable instead of the one pictured. Boo!

Sorry, guys. I guess that, until robots are writing crochet patterns for you, there are going to be the occasional mistakes. So, on with the errata! The corrections are below. (And, I’ll update this page if any others are discovered.)

Limerick Wrap, page 43

Row 7A: Sk first vertical bar, 2 TTPS, 6 TKS, 2 TTPS, TCS (see Special Stitches), 2 TTPS, 18 TKS, 2 TTPS, TCS, (delete: 3 TKS,) 2 TTPS, 6 TKS, 2 TTPS, TKS (48 lps on hook);

Row 10 should end with 50 lps on hook, not 48.

    Hello, I’m newish to cables and wanted to chime in. In my copy, the extra 3 TKS comes in 11A, but not 7A, and 10A already ends with 50 on hook, and 12B is fine as well. New edition perhaps?

    I just finished my first repeat in Red Heart Eco Bamboo/Wool mix and it looks great, very excited to be cabling at last. (I tried cables in regular crochet first and it just did not look good!)

      Thank you! That’s good to know. I hate it when I make mistakes in books. I know that I’m human. But, I still hate it. 🙂

    Hi Kim
    I’m trying to get videos for Tunisian Puff Stitch (Puff) that is on page 43 of your book Tunisian Cables to Crochet because I’m doing the Limerick Wrap pattern and I’m stock! ! The Puffs are not sticking out like in the picture. Is there a mistake in the description of the Puff Stitch ? May be it’s missing some steps on description of the stitch? I found your video for the TCS stitch in the Mock Cable Scarf youtube and it was so helpful to me. I searched for a long time the internet and looked at different Tunisian Puff Stitches and they are very different from your description in the book. With all your youtube videos on how to do Tunisian Cables and well explained instructions in the book, I was able to figure out how to do the cables properly.
    The result is awesome! It’s So Gorgeous !
    Can you help me figure out how to do the puff stitch properly ? (on pass and return row)
    Thank you so much

    • I don’t have the book handy at the moment, but here is my instruction from my original draft:

      Tunisian Puff Stitch (puff): Insert hook from front to back under ch-1 sp, yo, pull lp through, yo, insert hook from front to back under same ch-1 sp, yo, pull lp through—3 sts created.

      After reading this, I believe that this is the same mock cable that I created and used in the Tunisian Mock Cable Scarf which includes a video. http://kimguzman.com/blog/tunisian-mock-cable-scarf/
